Big Sky country
Montana
Three people. Several million acres of possibility.

Our Montana office has the best view-to-meeting ratio in the company. The logo is technically our fourth-largest employee.

Life in Big Sky country.
There are three people in the Montana office. Ruth handles operations, Cal builds things, and Jo asks the question that should have been asked at the beginning. A dog named Budget attends when he feels like it. He has never exceeded himself.
The office was meant to be a retreat. Then a team stayed long enough to finish something, and headquarters quietly changed the sign. Meetings take place on the porch. If the weather is bad, meetings do not necessarily take place.
Once a month a very senior person visits to learn about simplicity. They arrive with an assistant, a photographer, and a sixty-slide agenda. Ruth makes tea. Jo asks what they need. Cal fixes it. The visitor leaves with a moving story about leadership and a repaired suitcase wheel.
“The mountain has not pivoted. We find that helpful.”

Ruth ↔ Cal ↔ Jo. Budget is underneath everyone’s desk. No reporting line has survived contact with the dog.
